The Rainforest Café can only be found in 12 states including Texas. They say it is a wild place to shop and eat. They say that everyday here is an adventure. And yes, I can attest to that. There is a truism to all what they have said.

Last May 12, everybody remembered and thanked the very person that gave birth to them. I sent my mom a message of love. I told her that I truly miss her and all the times that we were together in our family, especially the times when my father was still with us. As for me, my husband and my little boy enjoyed the day with me at the Rainforest Café in Galleria
Rainforest Cafe Appetizer
My husband asked me where I want to dine in. I told him I want something different, something out of the ordinary restaurant. We landed on what appeared to be a dense jungle, ornamented by mechanically-moving wild animals complete with sound effects and lighting. My family was totally amazed, especially little Gabriel. He could not stop talking, asking unending questions and rolling his eyes in astonishment.

We ordered an appetizer. While waiting, Gabriel excitedly worked on an activity book especially made by the Rainforest Café for kid customers.  After few minutes, the appetizer came. The said Awesome Appetizer Adventure featured chicken tenders, chimi-cha-chas, spinach and artichoke dip with tri-colored tortilla chips. I can say we loved it especially all the dip: marinara, guacamole and coconut curry sauce.

Then we ordered the main course. We just wanted a light meal, but we ended up feasting on rainforest burger, fries, chicken salad sandwich, and China island chicken salad. I enjoyed the salad. I loved the combination of grilled chicken breast, potato sticks, sesame seeds, rice noodles, scallions with their China island salad dressing. All in all, we had an awesome day at Rainforest Café.

After we ate, we bought some souvenir plates at the Café Store located at the entrance of the restaurant. There are also a variety of novelty items that customers, especially kids, would want to bring home. Gabriel was amazed by the talking tree.

It is also noteworthy to mention that before we dined in, we tired ourselves exploring the Galleria Mall. We did not do ice skating as it was not planned, although we wanted to. However, the part that we enjoyed the most was the recreational area. Gabriel enjoyed several arcade games. We collected 150 tickets enough to get him some small toys to take home. We had a fun-filled and love-filled Mother's Day!
