How
does social networking affects everyone’s life nowadays? I guess you
all know the answer.Aside from Facebook and Twitter, do not be surprised if there are a lot more social networking sites that you have not probably heard of. Do you have any ideas which are the top 15 most popular social networking sites? eBizMBA has listed them all.
Amazingly
but not surprisingly, Facebook topped all social networking sites.
Majority of the people are hooked on Facebook. One astonishing
effect of Facebook is that it has broken the barrier of different age
generation. Do not be surprised if one day you got a friend request from
the person you least expected, your mother; or, even more
flabbergasting, your grandmother, who has all the reasons to feel bad if
you decline the request. So what if your mom always likes your posts
and even a frequent commenter on your timeline? Well, everyone has
different opinions about it. Some take it positively, but others do not
at all find it sweet. For me, mom on facebook rocks!
As I browse the web, I stumbled upon this article which talks about “13 Types of Mothers and Grandmothers on Facebook.” One classification is a spy type of
mom or granny who, obviously, digs into your timeline and uses the info
or pictures for future use and purposes. That made lying pretty hard to
do right now. There is also an invader type, drama queen or even a spammer type. If you want to know more about it, you know what to do – click this link!
Watch this video and you may find it either hilarious or, well.... not hilarious? Whatever.
NBC.com had this "Damn It - My Mom is on Facebook!" (Saturday Night Live)
Do you spend a lot of time using Facebook?
Do you think about your Facebook account even when you are not in front of your laptop?
Do you feel restless if you are unable to open your Facebook just because you have work to do?
Did you make Facebook your homepage or do you feel like making it your homepage?
Do you feel like your day is incomplete if you have not yet checked your Facebook?
If your answers in all these questions are YES, then you might be diagnosed as Facebook addict. There is no wonder why University of Bergen has conducted research on this first of a kind addiction. Check if you are most likely one of those who would answer “often or very often” in the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale.
I did the test and sure glad I had responded mostly "sometimes", which
placed me on the safe side (or should I say "normal" side). This made me
feel a little better having in mind the Bergen Research finding that
women are more at risk of developing Facebook addiction.
However, to ensure that I got a reliable result, I took an independent Quiz (for second opinion).
My result is:
31% Facebook Addicted
You ma'am are quite well-adjusted in your approach to using Facebook. You are not addicted at all. Congrats.
Now, if you are you willing to take the test Click here!
