NASA Exploration
A Little Something About NASA The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) was established in 1958 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower as a response to the Soviet Union’s launch of their first artificial satellite. NASA was an offshoot of the then National Advisory Committee on Aeronautics (NACA) which was involved in flight technology research. During President John F. Kennedy in 1960s, NASA started sending astronauts to the moon. In 1969, the first two astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin of Apollo 11, walked on the moon.
